Bloom, Dale and Eisenhower

Hello Readers, let's get something upskilled. Today, three figures from various backgrounds are here to help you out in some ways. One is Edgar Dale, who we all know for his cone of experiences. Benjamin Bloom, who is known for his famous Taxonomy, and Eisenhower, who gave the famous matrix of work distribution, known as the Eisenhower Matrix.

Edgar Dale (1900 - 1985)

Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience is a model that visually represents how learning experiences progress from concrete to abstract. It was first published in his book "Audio-visual Methods in Teaching" in 1946.

Benjamin Bloom (1913 - 1999)

Benjamin S. Bloom was an American educational psychologist and didactician who made contributions to the classification of educational objectives and to the theory of mastery learning. He has greatly influenced the practices and philosophies of educators around the world since the latter part of the twentieth century.

Eisenhower (1890 - 1969)

Dwight D. Eisenhower was the 34th President of the United States from 1953 until 1961. Before becoming President, he served as a general in the United States Army and as the Allied Forces Supreme Commander during World War II. He also later became NATO’s first supreme commander.

Dwight had to make tough decisions continuously about which of the many tasks he should focus on each day. This finally led him to invent the world-famous Eisenhower principle, which today helps us prioritize by urgency and importance.
